goodbyevirtualworld-deactivated asked: Asalamu Alaikum, I was just wondering about the relationship between Muslims and Jewish people after having a conversation with a Jewish friend of mine. I've seen loads of references to Israel while reading the Qur'an and it got me thinking about current issues. And I'm pretty sure this is false but I've heard that Muslims hate Jews? So how does all this relate?

Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq says:

theredscarfgirl: Okay, some of my assignment deadlines got extended, alhamdulilLah. so I have a bit of time to listen to this.. So here are my key takeaways..    1. Even amongst those that are halal for us to love, you can’t love them more than you love Allah swt and His messenger swt.  2. When you love, you obey it. So if you love your spouse more than you love Allah swt, you may choose to...

hajj exhibition
mosprob: I went to the British Museum’s Hajj Exhibition yesterday.  I haven’t really studied the concept of hajj in the quran properly yet, but the idea that God demands humans to congregate in a desert town once a year seems odd to me.  So I wasn’t going with a sense of reverence for the hajj, plus I wasn’t feeling very well over the weekend.  Basically, I didn’t think I was going to have a...

"Can Religion Be Separated From Culture?"
praxidikai: “One of the difficulties with targeting religion, as some secularists do, is that as a concept it’s incredibly fluid. What do we mean by “religion”? You often hear people saying about Muslims, “They want to have honour killings; they want to have female genital mutilation.” But that isn’t Islam. That kind of thing has happened in many cultures, some of which were Christian or pagan....

idileeyy asked: Assalama Aleykum, ukhtii's and akhi! :) I have a question which came to my mind just recently. I was having a religious conversation with a 'true' christian. She asked me about Dajjaal. I never thought of this myself. Her question was that when the Antichrist comes down to Earth, does he get his powers to misguide people from the satan or from God (swt). I replied to her that every...
