On Wednesday morning, June 27, 2012 our good friend Yusef Kurdi, 22, was in a very serious car accident on his back to school. He suffered severe head trauma, a punctured lung and a fractured collarbone. He was rushed to the hospital here in Bonaire where they attempted to stabilize him in order to airlift him to Aruba.
Once in Aruba he was put into a medically induced coma and further tests were...
There is nothing more heartbreaking than this
boricuaislamica:
Assalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh. Deviant. Bid’ah. Kufr. Shayateen. I have seen these words, these foul words shoved into the face of Muslims, whether they struggle with hijab and their imaan, whether they are Shi’a or Sufi, or whether they just like to listen to music. This isn’t dawah, this isn’t advice, this is a reality check: When you call someone these...

Muslim women in World News this week
thalamtnafsee:
Cassie Williams, a surfer from South California, and also, a revert to the religion of Islam, describes her take on various issues and how “admittedly, I subconsciously adopted some of the stereotypes about Muslim women” before she reverted.
Naglaa Ali Mahmoud, the wife of Egypt’s new leader, Mohamed Morsi, describes the role of Muslim women in Egypt and wishes to “regress from...
deviantdiya:
I know that a lot of you guys think I’m a horrible Muslim and all. But honestly, a lot of people have come up to me because I’m not so intimidating, and asked me to tell them about Islam, and to give them an idea of how to start learning more. I always tell them to read the Quran and with each surah right down every lesson you take from that surah. I have actually done seminars on...

Have you reached that point? →
dawud-salafee-talibulilm:
That point to where you say, “You know what? No. No more. Im going to change. Im going to get things done. Im going to be better, I refuse to stay where I am”. Have you ever been there? If you havent then it maybe that you are not truly ready for change? Im at that point with my Imaan and my Dunyah affairs where I can honestly say no more. No more procrastinating, no...

Verily, Allah rewards those who do good. Verily, Allah rewards those who are sincere. Verily, Allah rewards those who reflect. And verily, Allah loves those who are in constant reminder of Him.

Remember that your absence of adab (manners) on this site will be accounted for on the Day of Judgment. And remember that your level of sabr (patience) on this site will be accounted for as well.
We will all be tried on that Day; all of us.

Do not force your beliefs on others. Muhammad RasulAllah never did it (though he did diffuse the truth from falsehood, as Quran does countless times) so we should not feel obliged, in any way, to do the same.

Where is God?
Some other religions teach “God is everywhere.” This is actually called “pantheism” and it is the opposite of our belief system in Islam. Allah tells us clearly there is nothing, anywhere in the universe like Him similar to his likeness, nor is He ever in His creation. He tells us in the Quran He created the universe in six “yawm” (periods of time) and then He...
