Muslims, help. :o
I’m reading Qur’an and have a question.
Surah al-Baqarah, ayat 6-7;
6 - As to those who reject faith, it is the same to them whether you warn them or do not warn them; they will not believe.
7 - Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing, and on their eyes is a veil; great is the penalty they incur.
So, from these two ayat, it is fair to conclude that the reason people don’t believe in faith is because G-d made them not believe. I get this understanding from “Allah has set a seal on their hearts and on their hearing”. Is this correct?
Assuming that is correct, taking into consideration the last bit; “great is the penalty they incur”, it appears as though they are going to be punished for not believing in G-d, when G-d was the one who made them not believe in the first place. Is this correct?
On the presumption that these are correct, does that not make G-d appear unjust and deceitful?
I’m not out to destroy people’s faith or find holes in Islam, or anything like that, I’m generally curious and want to learn.
Followers can to help him? :)
