Pray for the people of Palestine, and for all those who are being unjustly prosecuted, tortured, and killed around the world. We are in a time where there seems to be a goal to desensitize the world of death…where innocence is no longer even considered, but is being labeled irrelevant by the same people who are holding the guns or throwing the bombs, or even more so, those who are “secretly” funding those barbarians who have lost all understanding of justice and humanity, and have gone on killing sprees, targeting women and children. We see so many pictures and videos of bombs falling, of children being physical torn apart, and people losing entire families in a matter of seconds. We have to do our best to support the people experiencing injustice in any and every form, we have to help them stay strong, we have to help in every single way we can, but most importantly, and I cannot express this enough, we have to remember that the Prophet (SAW) said that the greatest weapon of a believer is Du’a (supplication). So, brothers and sisters, pray, make Du’a, stay up at night begging Allah with tears flooding your eyes, for justice, for peace, for patience, for strength, and for His Mercy, for the oppressed around the world. Please, let’s use this opportunity of Ramadan, in the last few days we have left, to come together and sincerely, from the deepest points of our hearts to dedicate most of our time towards making Du’a, and KNOW for a FACT that Allah will answer our Du’a. Jazakum Allahu Khairun. And Allah knows best.

Progression Through Addiction - Nadir Keval
This Ramadan, I’ve been trying to overcome an addiction I’ve struggled with for most of my life. It’s not an addiction like smoking or drinking, or anything like that, alhamdulillah, but it’s a major struggle I haven’t been able to overcome, and one that has negatively influenced a great deal of my life. I’ve begun to understand that all of us have our vices, our addictions, our obsessions, and those things can be bad for us if we fall too deep into them. For example, consider that even drinking too much water can lead to us hurting ourselves, even though water is a human necessity. I learned that everything comes with a need for balance, and a need for how to approach something wisely. To put that into context of the water example, technically, you could get water from drinking soda/pop, but that is far more harmful to your body than drinking pure water would be.
Addiction is something I’ve learned may have its benefits. How many successful and influential people have you met or heard of who said that despite knowing what they needed to do, they weren’t able to do it until they hit rock bottom. Perhaps, that’s what addiction, along with other struggles like it, lead to. Perhaps, that is why these things exist. I’m not necessarily suggesting one indulges in any addiction or struggle, but instead, to take your time in working through things and growing at a pace that doesn’t hurt you.

Try, Try Again - Nadir Keval
With being halfway through Ramadan 2014, I’ve been giving a lot of thought towards bettering myself this month. One of the things I’ve learned more than almost anything else is how we are very fragile people, and we need to be easier on ourselves. It’s important that we do our best to better ourselves, but when we fail or fall, we shouldn’t give up.Read the whole article: Try, Try Again - Nadir Keval

Ramadan Mubarak! May this month be one that fills our hearts with the zeal and drive to be amongst those that live for the sake of Allah. May every moment nourish our Imaan, and cleanse us of our spiritual, physical, and mental toxins, helping us live on after Ramadan being at our best. May we get closer to our loved ones through growing closer to Allah, and may He bless us with happiness and success in this life and the Hereafter. Ameen!

Sometimes, Allah detaches you from the world, to remind you to attach yourself to Him. Sometimes, Allah attaches you to the world, to remind you to attach yourself to Him. From both the good and bad, we are tested and granted an opportunity to grow closer to Him. He is always reaching out. The question is: Will you reach back?

Let’s pray for those who have been kidnapped in Nigeria. I can’t believe the type of atrocity that’s coming from these terrorist groups. Let’s make Dua for those affected and bring peace and happiness. I love everyone and will continue praying to Allah Subantala for relief and good will.  Everyone deserves to live a happy life in this life and the hereafter. No ones perfect and we shouldn’t put them down for anything. We are Muslims, we are a community..we are an Ummah together. Stand up together and fight against the oppressors.

Dua’s for everyone!

       Assalalikum brothers and sisters,

Can we make Dua’s for those who passed away or going through difficulty? There is a family friend of ours who’s husband passed away and her daughter is in ICU after her brain surgery.  They said she might be paralyzed and I can’t fathom what she’s going through.  I hope In Sha Allah we can make Dua’s and prayers for everyone around the world. We should be grateful for what we have for there are people that are suffering more than us.  I pray that everyone is relieved for the stress and Allah Subantala blesses everyone around the world. My heart goes out to everyone.  I love all of you seriously. I’m so thankful for such a wonderful blog such as The Beauty of Islam. We are brothers and sisters until the day we die.  I will do the best to continue practicing my deen and I hope you all do the same.  Please let’s unite together and stop judging or hurting others.  Rather, let’s pray and make Dua for each other.  I’m sorry for this long post. May Allah Subantala bless you and your family. Jazah Allah Kairon!
