islamic-suggestions:

“Be realistic in everything but prayers. Ask the impossible” I read this somewhere and truly, it made me think why not. Ask the impossible, who knows Allah might give it to you sooner than you think.

partytilfajr:

I think what makes turning to God when you’re sad so powerful is that He already knows why you’re crying.

anahumairah:

Talk to Allah like He’s your best friend. When you see something amazing, even though Allah sees it, quietly mention it to Him. When you’re walking home from work, tell Him about your day. Tell him about your plans for the next day when you’re lying in bed. Tell Him about the dream you had, what you want to eat for dinner, tell Him when you’re stressed, tell Him about your family… just talk to Him. You’ll grow closer to him, it’ll be easier to make dua and it’ll be easier to turn to Him in both happiness and sadness.
